Mai Hongmei was born on December 3, 1966, in Heilongjiang, China. At a young age, she showed a strong interest in art and loved to paint.
Hongmei’s parents were supportive of her artistic endeavors, and they encouraged her to attend art school after she completed high school. She did just that, and after studying for four years, she graduated with a degree in Fine Arts.
Hongmei has been married since 1988 and the couple has one son together. She currently resides in Beijing, China.
